Murder charges have been levelled against the 32-year-old man who was detained last month for the August murder of an Australian tourist who was found with multiple stab wounds inside his hotel room in Montego Bay,
St. James.
The accused man has been identified as Adrian Forrester of no fixed address in St. James. He was detained on November 9 when he was seen by police personnel in downtown Montego Bay.
Absconding bail
Forrester is also wanted on a bench warrant for absconding bail in relation to a case of arson in Bickersteth, St. James. He is booked to appear before the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court next Wednesday.
A room attendant employed to the Gloustershire Hotel in Montego Bay discovered the body of 27-year-old Brian Johnston of a Highwood address in Melbourne, Australia on August 11.
Johnston was reportedly seen lying in a pool of blood inside his room with stab wounds to the head, chest and neck, with a large wound over one of his eyes. Some parts of his body were black and blue, and had bruises.
Investigators theorised that there was a struggle as a number of items, including a bedside lamp and a vase, were smashed.
