ST LUCIA: Anthony claims drug money funding campaign
published: Thursday | December 7, 2006

Dr. Kenny Anthony, Prime Minister of St. Lucia.

CASTRIES, St. Lucia (CMC):

Prime Minister Dr. Kenny Anthony has warned that funds from the illegal drug trade were being used to finance the current campaign for the December 11 general elections.

"Whatever the case is, I believe the issue of drug dealers financing campaigns is a serious matter, it cannot be ignored and it has to be attended to because it is tainted money reaching the electoral process and influencing the electoral process," he told a news conference on Tuesday.
