JCF receives $5 million in forensic equipment

The crime portfolio of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) received a boost in its technical abilities yesterday, with the donation of $5 million worth of forensic equipment to the Major Investigation Task Force Unit located at Harbour Street, downtown Kingston.

The presentation was made by GraceKennedy through the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica Jamaica Crime Fund.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Mark Shields said the equipment will greatly assist crime fighting as the application of scientific knowledge will help to solve and clear up murders.
