PNP has failed
published: Thursday | December 7, 2006

The Editor, Sir:

After being in power for so long (past 17 years), the PNP has failed to live up to the expectations of the Jamaican people. How can we have a government that has become so complacent and has forgotten its responsibilities? This government has brought to Jamaica a low standard that is not accepted by both Comrades and Labourites. This malicious government currently in power has brought to our country political tribalism, high levels of unemployment, non-progress (mismanagement) to our education sector, health sector and has damaged our country's economic system which has caused the economy to grow not even 1% per year.

The PNP has failed to create enough opportunities for young people and has also failed to deliver as a responsible government. Let us face facts and reality. If the JLP in their time previously (while they were in power) did not do their best or they have "wrecked" the country, then the PNP has done so even more because history still stands that they are the longest serving government ever within this country. Based upon facts, the JLP has done a better job in terms of running this country, especially in terms of financing, an area in which the PNP has failed miserably.

Jamaicans I am challenging you to give back to this country a future and the only way we can have a future is to vote and vote responsibly and intelligently.

I am, etc.,
