With the Christmas season now in full swing, several bazaars will be happening throughout the country.
Today and tomorrow, parents and children will be able to purchase Christmas gifts while having a blast at Grosvenor Gallery's Christmas Bazaar.
The fair lasts from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Gallery's office, 1 Grosvenor Terrace, in St. Andrew.
"It will be a family event where one can find unusual items that will make excellent Christmas gifts ideas," said Douglas Ried, owner of Grosvenor.
Unique and exotic gift ideas
The wide assortment of unique and exotic gift ideas includes pottery, silver jewellery, stained glass, furniture, antiques, driftwood angels, wind chimes, Indian linen and clothing, curios, woodwork, paintings, photography, prints, ceramics, pressed flower designs, leather bags and shoes, and plants.
Prices of the items will range from $100, such as for beaded jewellery, to about $30,000, for art and furniture pieces.
The bazaar, in its 13th year, takes place on the Gallery's half-an-acre-of-lawn with decorated trees providing shades for a picnic.
"The children will have a good time. There will be Jamaican and Mediterranean dishes, and a sampling of Crunch Time snacks, such as cheese trix and banana chips, will be available."
Family-oriented event
Christmas carols will ring out throughout the garden and live music will be provided by Tony's Bar.
"The bazaar is like a carnival. My youngest child is 12 years old and she has becoming to the bazaar since she was three months old. It's just a family-oriented event," added Mr. Reid.
Admission is free, so just go expecting to purchase Christmas gifts for your loved ones and friends.
