Determined to defy the weather gods, the Jamaica Employers Federation (JEF), led by lady boss Audrey Hincliffe, kept their promise of an entertaining Wednesday evening at their Ruthven Road headquarters.
Sleek driving machines, thrilling music, beautifully-covered bodies and interesting games characterised the evening of revelry and celebration, which not even a little rain could have put a damper on.
Part of the reason for gathering was to recognise a few of those institutions that have fostered good relations with the JEF and upheld their ideals.
Fidelity Motors was once such entity. They were recognised for their recent international award for overall customer service (a rarity in Jamaica). The Nissan Pathfinder, Frontier, Cefiro and Tida were the four models on display, and guests had the taunting pleasure of feeling them out with the encouragement of the attending Fidelity sales
representatives.
Cohorting for fun
The JEF had more in store for their guests, including a fashion show where nubile young men paraded down an ad hoc runway wearing clothing from Male Ego. They were later joined by lady 'models' from the JEF cohort. Noted guitarist, Seretse Small and his supporting band, also provided entertainment, with the thrilling tunes for which Small is known.
Among those who came out to mingle were Wayne Wray, president of First Global Bank; Joe Taffe of GraceKennedy; Ruth Potopsingh, managing director of the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica and May Lawrence of Supreme Ventures.
