Jamaica Gleaner Letters

LETTER OF THE DAY - Cockpit Country should be declared a protected reserve
The Editor, Sir: All of us should be concerned about the fate of the Cockpit Country, should bauxite mining be allowed there. It is not only the integrity of this national and, indeed, international treasure that would be in jeopardy.

The popular vote and standards

The Editor, Sir: I write in reponse to the letter 'Great job, Oberlin'. The Cornwall College Boys' Choir is a professional group that seeks to convert its members into world citizens and well-rounded achievers.

Save Ocho Rios, please!

The Editor, Sir: The Sunday Gleaner of December 10 carried an article on the state of Ocho Rios. I am appalled at the state of the town that has been such a beauty and memories to many visitors and Jamaicans alike.
