Reward doubled for missing couple

The reward for the return of Mandeville businessman Richard Lyn and his wife Julia has now been doubled to $1 million.

Mr. Lyn, 75, and Mrs. Lyn, 71, were taken from their home in Battersea near Ingleside, Manchester, last Saturday evening. Apart from appliances and furniture, a grey Toyota Rav 4, licence 2694 ES and a grey Toyota Corolla, licence 5540 EU were also taken.

Friends of the Lyns contacted the police when they did not show up for their usual Sunday morning activities.

Task Forces involved

The Kingston-based Major Investigation Task Force together with other units are now involved in the investigation which has discovered drops of blood near the scene.

The reward, put up by the Lyns' family, is being offered through Crime Stop. Anyone with information that may help the police find the Lyns can call Crime Stop on 311. A statement issued by Crime Stop reminded that there is no caller ID, no69 and information can be given anonymously.
