LETTER OF THE DAY - Reminiscing on Christmas Sunday shopping
The Editor, Sir: "The beginning is the half of all things," as the Greek proverb goes, so I'll start by using a similar convention to that used by Abraham Lincoln in his famous Gettysburg Address (four scores and seven years ago, etc.):

Using voter fingerprints to solve crime

The Editor, Sir: The proposal to give the police access to the database of voter fingerprints stems from a proposal by me based on my concern on learning that the police do not have access to such data to assist with their efforts to solve crimes.
