Os.mo.sis - Always priceless

The members of Mad Circle Entertainment must be a very happy bunch after another successful staging of their signature event, Os.mo.sis, last Friday at the Senior Common Room (SCR), University of the West Indies, Mona.

Scores of yuppies flooded the lawns of the SCR to take up the group on its promise of a 'super all-inclusive affair', awash with beautiful people and bursting with vibes, and they delivered - in fine style too.

House of Siim, led by Michelle Simone Clark, lent their expertise to the decor of the venue and intrigued with a geometrically inclined setting, defined by the signature colours red and white, of Smirnoff Vodka, a major sponsor.

Eateries galore

Some of Kingston's most celebrated eateries including Os.mo.sis regulars Rib Kage, Cuddy'z and Gourmet to Go, as well as newcomers Dynasty Jade, Prendy's on the Beach and Habibi Latino, gave a myriad of choices for your dining pleasure. This, coupled with free-flowing liquor, Smirnoff mixes at the helm of course, made for a workable recipe for uninhibited fun.

Vibes

The dancefloor buzzed under the direction of Renaissance Disco, Bambino, Coppershot and Kalico, but it was Mr. Shaun of Coppershot who really got the crowd 'crunked' with some hip-hop favourites that currently dominate the air waves. The uptown folk gleefully obeyed to 'Walk it out', then 'let it rain' as instructed.

DJ Bambino, however, played the most interesting set, as he heralded the 'big girls' in the audience, drawing on a comical rendition of Justin Timberlake's SexyBack. "I'm bringing fat back," screamed from the speakers as the big-boned stepped out in unabated pride, and agreement for their love of chocolate cake - another priceless Os.mo.sis moment.

Beautiful people

Many of the usual suspects enjoyed a piece of the Mad Circle pie that night, including Safiya Cooper, brand manager of Smirnoff and Spirits at Red Stripe; P.J. Wright of Wright Image Entertainment, whose signature event, Daydreams, opened the Smirnoff-led series of 'all-inclusives' that would dominate the Christmas party season; Roxanne Wais; Kamal Bankay; Naomi Cowan; Garth Case and Kimberly LynShue; Christopher Telfer of Absolute Entertainment; Scott Dunn; Kara-Ann Boyn, the reigning Miss Florida Caribbean, and Digicel's Tshani Jaja.
