Pulsating Pulse - again!

Chester Francis-Jackson, Contributor

My daahlings, y'all know you have a good thing going when yours is the most anticipated do, of the Yuletide season! And not just so in recent years, but has been the mode for the last 25 years and counting!

And luvs, little wonder here as the event in question is the much revered annual Christmas Eve shindig, hosted by Pulse as its season ending fabulissimo that is the toast of the fabulous everywhere and celebrated much more so!

Luvs, just around 25 years ago, Kingsley Cooper took the bold step of walking away from the legal profession and after hanging up his robes, and along with a group of equally enthusiastic forward thinkers, went about creating a modelling and grooming school, that would not only spot and or hone talent, but assumed the responsibility of promoting and marketing it on the national and international scene.

And so it is my daahlings, that with a reputation and talent for spotting modelling talent and nurturing to international success, little wonder that along the way, Cooper and by extension, Pulse, became synonymous with not only being fashionable, but the premier hosts of the hottest and most fabulous parties, this side of Hollywood!

Luvs, no stuffed shirts and or fuddy-duddies here! And the frumps go elsewhere as this is an annual fab-fest where only the chic attend.

Well my dearios, if you were one of the unfortunate few, who belong to chic crowd, the fabulous or the buffed and or the body beautiful, then sweet-things slap somebody because honeys, this was one hot social enchilada and we are talking jalape-o flavoured here!

Profiling and partying

Oh my word, what a night, for profiling and partying!

Pumpkins, it was the sort of party that starlets and young hunks dream of attending and when they break through and make the cut honeys they party like track stars on steroids and rollerblades!

Doves, the invites did say partying hour would be at 10:00 p.m., but for the most part, those invited paid nary a mind to this entreaty preferring instead to make their appearance just around and/or after the witching hour. And when 1:00 a.m. rolled around, Villa Ronai located in salubrious Old Stony Hill, was the centre of the partying universe, and dovecakes it sizzled like flowing lava!

Oh my word, what a night! And for my word, what a way to see in the Christmas! By then all the best profiling spots and the preferred dancing spots were already taken but sweet-things, with ace disc jock Squeeze spinning some of the hottest contemporary arias, guests threw caution to the wind and partied up a sensation.

Hot numbers

And if it were not already hot enough, there were the Pulse International modelling hot numbers such as supermodels, Jaunel McKenzie; the stunning Carla Campbell, in from New York; Nell Robinson, in from London via Barbados; Nicole Grey, in from Canada; new faces - Shevolee Bell, CMS winner, Sashana Grey; Ester Beckford; Kristina Sibblies; Santana Taylor; Theresa Jameison; and a bevy of beauties plus some fierce looking hunks just strutting their stuff.

Hosts, Kingsley Cooper and his love, the fab Romae Gordon, led the way for the most part, and everyone danced like no one else was watching with the music pumping. Dearhearts, suffice it to say, at 4:00 a.m. when this here scribe took his leave, the party was still sizzling and then some!
