A post-mortem on the body of veteran broadcaster Neville Willoughby revealed that his death was caused by severe head injuries, according to the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN).
Inspector Sonia James-Thompson of the CCN also disclosed that no charges would be made in connection with his death.
"Based on police investiga-tions no one is likely to be charged as he (Willoughby) drove out from a minor unto a major road," said Insp. James-Thompson.
The beloved broadcaster died on Wednesday, December 20, at the University Hospital of the West Indies, after he was involved in a motor vehicle collision along Molynes Road, St. Andrew, the previous evening.
He was travelling in his Mitsubishi Buzz, which collided with a BMW motor car.
He will be buried on Thursday following the funeral at the Church of St. Margaret in St. Andrew.
The signing of a condolence book will take place tomorrow and Wednesday at the RJR Group's Lyndhurst Road offices.
Willoughby, who was 69, was celebrated as one of Jamaica's best broadcasters. His career spanned almost five decades, having worked at the Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation and, up to the time of his death, RJR.
