Several prominent members of the local football fraternity will be putting their skills on display when the New Year's football extravaganza kicks off at 3:30 p.m. today at the Buttercup Park in Mona.

Hoping to start a new year of football with camaraderie and goodwill, a masters and celebrity team will travel to take on a Real Mona Invitational team.

Clive 'Busy' Campbell will lead a masters and celebrities team that will certainly not be short on talent. Campbell will be joined by Barrington 'Cobra' Gaynor, Audley 'Coco' Boyd, Michael 'Jah Mikes' Williams, Lenny 'Teacher' Hyde, Ian 'Beenie' Burnett, Oral Tracey, Andrew Thomas, Calvin Hunter, Trevor 'T.C.' Campbell, Milverton Brooks, Livingston McLaren, Marvin Chin, Dean Smith, David Williams, Ian Wilkinson, Ken Ellis, Dean Shepherd, Zachary Harding, Ryan Dawes, Lincoln Taffe and Latos McLaren.

The Real Mona Invitational team will be no slouches themselves. They will be represented by Peter Moses, Kingston and St. Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) president, Ambassador Stewart Stephenson, Courtney Singh, Courtney Walsh, Chris Dehring, Chris Green, Lloyd Distant, Howard McIntosh, Phillip Crimako, Chris Denny, Andre Denny, Glen Hines, Leroy Graham, Hylton Cobran, Michael Murray, Ransford Small, Ian Bond, Andrew Bond, Stephen Bond and Rennie Phillips.

Entry to the event will be free of cost.
