Yush patrons partied out the weekend in fine style last Saturday at The Pantry Boardwalk in New Kingston.
When the Gleaner team entered the jam-packed venue minutes after 2:00 a.m., the party was full swing.
Persons were turned back at the gate when the tickets were sold out, leaving only persons with pre-sold tickets the opportunity to enjoy themselves.
JAM-PACKED
Every crevice in the venue was filled with persons rocking away, drinking and chatting up a storm.
Some socialised while others enjoyed the music coming from one of Miami's top DJs Richie D.
To the delight of the patrons, Richie D showed why Beenie Man remained in persons 'memories' and why it is deadly to look into the eyes of the Warlord Bounty Killer.
According to selectors Jazzy T and Delano from Renaissance Disco, Yush is the Original '90s party, as they proceeded to bring the crowd back into time with old school rap from Tupac, Busta Rhymes, MC Hammer's Can't Touch This, Vanilla Ice with Ice Ice Baby and Kris Kross it as well. This was interrupted by a special dub made for the party by Dancehall DJs Twin of Twins, who did their signature impersonations evoking laughter from the audience.
As the music continued, some patrons could be seen trying to get 'down', doing some rather hilarious break dancing. Persons made the best of the bar getting drunker and drunker by the minute. Other patrons made the best of the opportunity to socialise, making rounds and networking.
Vibe
While some persons enjoyed the rap, for such a large crowd the vibe one would have expected was slightly missing as persons were eager for some dancehall.
After a while Renaissance delivered as the ladies cocked up and wined, while other female patrons went mad to Shabba's World of Girls.
One lucky man had quite a handful as he was sandwiched between two ladies who were barely dressed. Although quite a few patrons were dancing, the majority didn't seem to feel the dancing spirit as they looked around watching everyone else.
When the Gleaner team left the venue after 4:00 a.m. the party was still going strong, no one seemed ready to leave, as the Renaissance crew announced DJ Colin Hinds was waiting in the wings to take the party till daylight.
