The Editor, Sir:
I write this letter in response to Empress Makeeda's letter on reparation. That was a beautiful experience she had. I think that her script is only short of putting
the black slave sellers in their places. If there was to be a recompensation for black people on the grounds of slavery, I think that the black slave sellers were also guilty of those atrocities just the same as the white buyers.
My question is
So my question is this, would the seller be liable to recompensate for slavery also? I also think that it is full time for intelligent folks to stop using a biased jury when trying the case of the slavery transactions in order for even
our little children to have a
better overstanding, instead of understanding, of the situation.
Would it be the same black people's taxes that they pay to the U.S. government they would be getting for the same reparation? what good would it do for a person to get their own money for such ordeals?
I am, etc.,
