The Editor, Sir:
It is good to see that some of our leaders see the need for national unity. I thank our Prime Minister for her continual faith in our country and not only in her party.
Thanks to the Governor-General for his belief that as a country we can succeed if we work together. However, I am disappointed in our Opposition Leader's message as it seems to lean towards political mileage.
Thanks to the leader for realising we have potential that we can use to better our lives.
I would love to read or hear messages of encouragement at times like these where politics is left out of some things.
Having the great privilege of addressing the nation, our leaders should not always place politics in the message, but should try to uplift or country by words of positive vibration.
That would influence the minds of our society to work in unity for national development.
Let us not place the future of our country in the hands of few, but let us unite and work together in making Jamaica a better place for all.
I am, etc.,
