It's about 11 o'clock on a hot Thursday morning in Highgate, St. Mary. Just in front of the giant clock tower, a handful of people are walking around and a few cars are parked at the side of the road. It's not a busy place.

US job growth, hourly earnings jump in December

WASHINGTON (Reuters): U.S. job growth was surprisingly strong in December and pay jumped, according to a government report on Friday that may fan policy-makers' concern that a strong job market could ignite inflation.
