Gunmen continued their rampage on the weekend killing three men in a frame of only two hours in separate incidents in the Corporate Area and Clarendon.
A community in lower St. Andrew was the scene of a double murder on Saturday evening, after gunmen killed two members of a family on Ricketts Close in the Kingston 13 area.
Dead are brothers 28 year-old Steve Wright, otherwise called Blacks, and 26 year-old Nakia Wright.
Police reports are that about 7:30 Saturday evening, four people, including the Wright brothers, were on Ricketts Close when they were pounced upon by five gunmen. They opened fire hitting all four.
The Wright brothers died on the spot while the other two men have been hospitalised in stable condition.
Meanwhile, Palmer's Cross, Clarendon was also the scene of another murder after 42 year-old Delroy Graham of Hamilton Drive in the community was fatally shot by gunmen Saturday night.
CCN's liaison officer reports that Graham was shot at a shop which he operated from home by two armed men. The police were called and Graham was taken to the May Pen Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Clarendon homicide unit is investigating.
The community of Grants Pen was also the scene of a shooting on the weekend which left one gunman dead and his fire arm seized.
Reports are that about 2:15 yesterday morning a police team was on an operation in the community when they accosted a group of men on Shortwood Lane.
On seeing the police the men reportedly pulled firearms and opened fire at the police.
The police returned fire.
The area was later searched and an unidentified man was found suffering from gunshot wounds clutching a .38 revolver with its serial number erased.
Police believe the dead man is about 30 years-old, of dark complexion, slim built and is about 175 centimetres tall.
This is the first shooting and killing in Grants Pen in over a year. The one-time volatile community has been enjoying several months of peace following various community intervention programmes aimed at stemming violence in the area.
