Air Jamaica urgency
published: Monday | January 15, 2007

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I reside in an area on the north coast where a large number of returned residents have settled. There is a plethora of complaints from them from United Kingdom, U.S.A. and Canada. At this time of the year, many Jamaicans have returned home to enjoy the embrace of relations and friends. I emphasise the major disappointment when those special gift packets and personal items are delayed, or worse, are missing.

Jamaicans love to fly on Air Jamaica with a feeling of pride and belonging. We implore the Air Jamaica management to step on this menace with urgency. We can understand the occasional delayed arrival of goods, but the missing items are unforgivable theft. Please do not allow a few miscreants destroy the credibility of an otherwise excellent airline.

Yours truly,

A.S. BYFIELD,

P.O. Box 4162

Boscobel, St. Mary
