"Taste is in the eyes," says Richard Elliot, co-owner of Whitebones Seafood Restaurant, Mannings Hill Road, which has revamped its menu with appealing new selections that offer the full culinary experience - both in taste and in visuals.

Their new menu is quite extensive, and runs the gamut of seafood choices. Even the most discerning palates could find something to their taste at Whitebones.

Lobster wontons, served with an orange sauce, Whitebones chef salad, topped with fish cubes, and cheddar and parmesan cheeses and pan seared scallops with a mango vanilla or orange ginger sauce are just a few of the new menu items added for your dining pleasure.

They have also added a mussels menu and a vegetarian menu, and beefed up ther pasta offerings with salmon fettuccini, and lobster fettucini.

Ready to enjoy

This new menu was ready for The Gleaner-sponsored Kingston Restaurant Week (KRW) 2006 and since then, their Ackee and Shrimp Delight has been one of the most requested of the new items.

Still, "if people come and they want something from the old menu, we will do it just the same", says Jacqueline Wilson, co-owner of Whitebones.

At Whitebones they are also willing to accommodate anything you might crave, provided they have the ingredients. "Even if it's not on the menu, we will prepare it for you", explains Wilson.

Whitebones has also sought to enhance the whole dining experience adding shell night, starting Tuesday January 30, to their weekly line-up, where patrons may enjoy live cooking of shellfish, including lobster, shrimp, mussels, oysters and the like.

They have also added a take-out menu, and accommodate call-in orders and deliveries as well. Deliveries are made at an added charge. "You can order anything from our take-out or regular menu and we will deliver", says Wilson.
