Boys' Town's miserable form continued when they went down 2-0 to Portmore United in Wray and Nephew National Premier League action at Ferdie Neita Park Sports Complex yesterday.
Portmore skipper Kevin Deerr, along with Boys' Town defender Xavean Virgo, was ejected with a straight red card in the 86th minute, while Portmore's Christo-pher Dawes received a red card three minutes after.
The Red Brigade, still eighth on 19 points and serving a two-match ban from their their home ground by the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF), have now suffered their third loss in four games.
Tough patch
"We are going through a pretty rough patch. Right now we have all sorts of bad things happening with injuries and other stuff," explained Boys' Town coach Andrew Price.
"All teams go through spells but we will just have to weather the storm. We didn't play well at all today, we didn't do any tracking and we gave Portmore too much space," he added.
It was Deerr who found himself with space in the 32nd minute and he made good use of it when he blasted past Boys' Town goalie Kirk Porter at his near post.
Bennett then found himself alone, wide of a bewildered Boys' Town back line, courtesy of a Deerr pass, and fired into the roof of the net to complete the scoring in the 41st minute.
"We did well today and I think we pretty much won the game from the first half," was the opinion of Portmore coach Paul Young, whose team lie fourth on 31 points.
He added: "We were comfortable but lost our composure a bit towards the end of the game."
