Off to a winning start!

Pulse model Nell Robinson (left) with Music star, Shakira. - Contributed

Luvs, talk about getting off to a winning start in this new year. Well my dears, so far none is doing that any better than the fabulous Nell Robinson, that absolutely drop-dead-gorgeous daughter of Gordon and Janet Robinson, of St. Andrew. She has been quite busy in recent times blazing a modelling trail that has made her the toast of the European fashionistas and designers; and not to mention the darling of the fashion paparazzi!

Daahlings, y'all know that fabulous saying: 'When you're hot, you're hot'. Well dovecakes, Nell Robinson is giving that fab saying new and positive energy as she has been eating up not only European catwalks and being the in-demand model for Europe's leading editorial assignments, the missy has attained celebrity chic by the very nature of the prized campaigns she has managed to land with her hot new look!

Luvs, if y'all missed her cover debut in British style magazine Arena, in 2005, in which they dubbed her: 'The Body', and yes, she's all that and then some; Nell Robinson has distinguished herself as the reigning Pulse International supermodel. She has been seen in international super-sexy fashion campaigns and fab editorials. A position that has seen her doing fashion editorials for GQ, Gossard, D Squared, plus a number of others. But looking as fabulous as she does, the hot young starlet has not been restricted to super-sexy editorial spreads as she has also been the featured model for fashion editorials in fashion's Bible - Cosmopolitan, and is the reigning face of Rimmel!

Well, to kick off her calendar year, the vivacious Nell has started 2007 with a fashionable bang, as the lovely lass has just landed the much coveted Victoria Secret 2007 campaign and is all set to start shooting in Miami within a matter of days!

Based in London and romantically linked to Rod Sweeney of International Talent Booking, which represents such famous acts as The Rolling Stones and Beyonce, the couple was spotted at last year's Grammys, The Golden Globe Awards, as well as the MTV Music Awards, and she leads such a busy social life. It has been said of the duo, they spend as much time in the skies as they do on the ground.

No stranger to international stardom and/or celebrity, Nell's mother, Janet Robinson is herself a former international model. Her aunt, Cindy Breakespeare-Bent, a celebrated beauty and former Miss World; and hot reggae superstar, Damian Marley, her cousin.

Victoria Secret shoot

She heads to Miami Beach on the weekend for the Victoria Secret shoot, before joining her manager, Kingsley Cooper, in New York, on Tuesday to cast for the collections there and to start the long overdue U.S. leg of her international career.

Way to go honey, and then some!

Then my dears as they say, 'big things a gwaan' in Port Antonio, as the fabulously wealthy Canadian-based Jamaican-born billionaire, Michael Lee Chin, has acquired two of Port Antonio's hottest properties. They are Trident Hotel and the fabulously lovely Blue Lagoon (including the fabulous Port Antonio home of Valerie Marzouca). Now there's word that celebrated chef, Darren Lee, has resigned his post at the fabulous Strawberry Hill Resort and Spa, to take up a position with the Lee Chin Port Antonio outfit.

My dears, wait for it as when the Michael Lee Chin cache and masterplan kicks in, not only well Port Antonio and its 'Riviera' (San San), be the (new) hot spot for the haute fabulous and haute wealthy, it will be the centre of the world of fabdom!

And speaking of the fabulous and the powerful, my dears, the fabulous Michelle Bovell celebrated another year of the life, on Wednesday. The word here is that the celebrations were and intimately fab little to-do for immediate family with a reception to follow later.

And it's still all about Aries as Technology Minister Phillip Paulwell, celebrated his special day on Sunday; as did musician and tutor, Ibo Cooper, formerly of the Third World band. And yesterday, being the 18th was another celebrity double as Capt. David McRae and Carlos MaxBrown both celebrated their birthdays in fine style, the former with an intimate gathering of friends and colleagues and the latter with an outing to the fabulous Hedonism III, near Runaway Bay.

Music executive

And Janet Davis, formerly of London, England, and Millsborough, St. Andrew and, now of Florida, celebrated her birthday, last Thursday, but the high-powered music executive is not telling just how many candles were on the birthday cake. And, none of those who attended the South Florida shindig to mark the occasion is telling. Not to worry however, as the word is, it was all good and then some and here the preferred libation was Crystal!

Now, mm!

Champagne toasts all around and Beluga treats y'all!

And as we speak, the packers and movers have been called into the Washington, DC, home of international banking and financial consultant, Brent Ciurlino, and his absolutely gorgeous Jamaican wife, the lovely Dr. Kim Brown, as the two are all set to return to Kingston come this month end at the end of their stint in the American capital.

And, international hairstylist and businessman, Paul Windle, jetted in from New York over the weekend, for a few days of rest and relaxation in between talks in the Big Apple for the sale of his London-based Windle hair and beauty empire, to a leading American outfit.

Word here is that Paul Windle and his South African companion will pretty soon be house-hunting here on the island, as they seek an escape from those frightfully chilling British winters, so more anon.

And just as we continue to recruit foreign cops, our cops here are being recruited by foreign police departments too.
