Answer: The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the governing body for international test matches and one-day internationals. The ICC organises various first-class and one-day competitions with the most important being the ICC Cricket World Cup. Cricket World Cup is held in high esteem among fans, players, and administrators.

Q. How many countries are members of the ICC?

A. The ICC was founded on June 15, 1909 by Australia, England and South Africa. These three founding members have been joined by seven further full members: Bangladesh, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Zimbabwe. There are 27 associate members and 55 affiliate members so that the cricket world now boasts 98 member countries from all corners of the globe.

A. The ICC is responsible for the event's commercial and legal framework. It will oversee the activities undertaken by ICC CWC WI 2007 Inc. and the Local Organising Committees. A. ICC CWC WI 2007 Inc. has the primary responsibility for organisation of the tournament in conjunction with the Local Organising Committees. This includes the hiring of suppliers for specified areas of the tournament, for example ticketing, hospitality and accreditation. ICC CWC WI 2007 Inc. has entered into host venue agreements with venues/LOCs and is responsible for ensuring that the minimum standards set by the ICC are fulfilled as outlined in the host agreement between the ICC and ICC CWC WI 2007 Inc.
