Seminar to empower investors
published: Tuesday | January 23, 2007

Foreign exchange trading will be among the hot-button topics to headline 'Investment '07', this year's 17th renewal of the investment series, today at noon at the Jamaica Pegasus.

The event comes against the background of widespread interest and controversy sur-rounding this intriguing investment activity, now capturing the attention of the investment community worldwide.

Convener of the investment series, John Jackson, will present the introduction to foreign exchange trading in an "exciting hands-on session, where participants, using their own mobile devices, will surf the net and get a feel of the exhilaration of trading in some of the world's major currencies".

Technical assessment

A technical assessment of the stock market currently, and what this says about the future of the market, will be highlighted and is expected to be a major guide for investors in making their moves in the market.

Jackson will disclose data going back to 1980, showing the degree to which persons who hold on to winning stocks beyond a year, cause the under-performance of the market.

'Investment '07' is presented by Boston Holdings and the Investor's Choice magazine in association with The Financial Gleaner, Jamaica Pegasus hotel, Pulse, Lucozade Sport and J. Wray and Nephew Ltd.
