In a move to provide a more efficient and friendlier customer service environment for its clients and stakeholders, the Rural Agricultural Development Authority last week Tuesday launched its citizens' charter.
Speaking at the event, held at the agency's offices on Old Hope Road, St. Andrew, Minister of Agriculture and Lands, Roger Clarke, said that the charter would assist the authority in its drive to achieve economic growth and stability through agricultural development.
"The core business of RADA is to be the leader in the drive towards achieving national economic growth and stability through agricultural development. To achieve these objectives, however, demands a level of interaction which gives our clients that sense of belonging, which motivates and gives confidence to enable them to produce," he stated.
The Agriculture Minister further noted that this charter represents the agency's recognition of the importance of its clients and the high regard in which they are held.
Meanwhile, executive director of RADA, Albert Shand, said that the citizens' charter was created based on the recognition that the agency needed to consistently maintain a high standard of service delivery and professionalism.
