Not women and cold beer? Sounds like the right ingredients for fun!
There was plenty of both at the calendar-signing party of Kingston Beer, the lager of the Lascelles group of products. The party launch was held at Devon House.
So, since the product itself was launched in early November, what has been the response for Kingston Beer?
"Very encouraging," says brand manager, Ayanna Kirton. "In a market dominated by Red Stripe and Heineken, the fact that people are ordering and reordering the beer is great." She added that the turnout at the calendar launch showed people had taken to the brew.
There might have been a few new converts as well, especially as naughtily-dressed young women in green walked around with (literally) buckets of the good stuff, refreshing the thirst of anyone whose bottle had run dry. Portrayed as the big, bad Jamaican brew, there was some tasty Jamaican pan chicken to go along with it.
Eight of the models who blessed the calendar with their beauty were there to sign copies of the calendar for eager guests, especially the men. Their wrists probably hurt from all the penmanship they had to display. Before the signing, the ladies strutted on stage so that everyone could get a better look.
Guests included Anthony and Jean Bell, Sean Lyn, Saleem Lazarus, Danielle DeSulme, Claudette Powell, Brian Chung, Carlos MaxBrown, Tishan Wade, Marilyn Bennett, Nikki Cunningham, Lesha Chen-Young and Roland Henry.
