FORMER CHAMPIONS Harbour View have their sights set on regaining the Caribbean Club Championship crown but first they must get by Trinidad top guns W Connection in tonight's semi-final at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium in Trinidad.

Boosted by huge win over local rivals Waterhouse, which saw them capture top spot in the premier league on Wednesday, the 'Stars of the East' carry a five-game winning streak into the twin-island republic for the game which kicks off at 8:30 p.m. Harbour View coach Lenworth Hyde is hoping that the momentum of Wednesday's win and their recent good form will carry over into tonight's game.

"We have been preparing well for the fixture, we have a solid squad, we will have the same set of players from the Waterhouse game and we will be going out their to play good football," Hyde said.

"They are a good team and I hear they even have a couple of Brazilians in their squad so it will not be an easy game," he said.

"However, I am confident in the players. They are playing well and they really want to win that Cup," Hyde pointed out.

The Trinidad and Tobago First Citizens cup champions, W Connection, will be no pushovers. The team has already captured the Cup once with a win in 2003 and has been preparing for the fixture with a training stint in Brazil.

Harbour View booked their spot in the semi-finals when they topped Group A which was played at the Harbour View Mini-Stadium. In that round, the 'Stars of the East' had wins over Centro Barber, Positive Vibes and Aigle Noir. W Connection topped Group C which was played in Puerto Rico with wins over the Puerto Rico Islanders and Hoppers FC of Antigua and Barbuda.

In the day's other semi-final scheduled for the same venue at 6:30 p.m., Baltimore Sportif (Haiti) will take on San Juan Jabloteh (Trinidad). Sportif eliminated premier league champions Waterhouse in Group B which was also played at the Harbour View Mini-Stadium.
