US Ambassador tours National Gallery
published: Saturday | January 27, 2007

Junior Dowie/Staff Photographer

United States Ambassador to Jamaica Brenda LaGrange Johnson (centre) went on a visit to the National Gallery of Jamaica yesterday. Also in photo are Dr. Jonathan Greenland (right), executive director, National Gallery, and Glenn Guimond, public affairs officer at the U.S. Embassy in St. Andrew.

The ambassador visited conservation specialists from the United States who are in the island to assist the National Gallery with the care of its collections.

The conservation programme, funded by the U.S. Ambassador's Fund, has enabled the National Gallery to address some of the more critical conservation problems.
