Santa Cruz:

Sixty (60) schools are down to take part in the 21st staging of the annual St. Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS)/Inseason Invitational track and field meet set to take place at the STETHS today, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

This year's meet is also sponsored by Alpart, which was the main sponsor last year.

According to STETHS' vice-principal, Keith Wellington, Inseason Juices have joined a long list of sponsors, and athletes will have an opportunity to participate in about 12 events.

"Athletes at this year's renewal will have the opportunity to participate in track events including 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 4x400m and 4x800m as well as long, high and triple jumps, along with shot put and discus," said Wellington.

Some of the schools expected at the meet are KC, JC, Calabar, Munro, Mannings and Holmwood in the boys department, and Manchester, Edwin Allen, St. Jago and Vere in the girls category.

This year Holmwood Technical and KC will be recognised for being involved in the meet since 1986.
