LETTER OF THE DAY - 'Pimp' pressure mars Ja image
The Editor, Sir: In response to reading the article regarding "Penalty for Pimp Parents" I was repulsed and enraged that the Jamaican Government is now taking measures to protect their children from sexual exploitation.
What the game of cricket can do!
The Editor, Sir: I am amazed at the no-holds-barred effort to put in place the best of everything for visitors coming to Jamaica for the upcoming Cricket World Cup.
Looking back
The Editor, Sir: There are many praying for your island at this moment. Many have known it would maybe take a civil war to make things change. Most of all we pray for the pickney dem. I pray everyone returns to church at real values.
Corrupt people corrupt cops
The Editor, Sir: In all the talk about police corruption, my concern is based on the fact that not all police officers are corrupt. Many of those who fall 'prey' to corruption went into training with that motive on their mind.
Cause for concern
The Editor, Sir: Two recent events in Jamaica should give cause for concern not only for the citizens of the country but also for those planners who are always coming up with plans for combating crime.
