Australia strengthen WNC staff
published: Tuesday | January 30, 2007

SYDNEY, Australia (CMC)

Former title-holders Australia have beefed up their coaching staff ahead of this year's World Netball Championship (WNC).

National coach Norma Plummer has appointed three former Australia players to share the role of assistant coach in 'preparing the national team for the demands of the 2007 World Netball Championships' in New Zealand in November.

Plummer has named retired international campaigners, mid-courter Sue Kenny, attacking player Nicole Cusack, and defender Rosalee Jencke - boasting 157 caps between them - to share the responsibilities of assistant coaches.

The move is aimed at combining new ideas, specialised experience, and a fresh approach to Australia's preparation as they bid to regain the WNC title and their World No.1 ranking.
