HALCON GENERLARDAIS and OLD VIC are the two market leaders for tomorrow's Letherby & Christopher Chase at Cheltenham and it should be a battle royal between the two. Nine will contest the Grade two race over 3 1/2 miles.
OLD VIC will be having his first outing since landing the Charlie Hall Chase in December, while the Alan King-trained HELCON GENERLARDAIS won the Welsh Grand National at Chepstow last time out and will more than likely start favourite on the strength of that performance.
OLD VIC, however, is the highest rated horse in the field and having won twice at Cheltenham, will prove a tough opponent. EXOTIC DANCER could also enter the reckoning by virtue of his good second to KAUTO STAR in the King George at Kempton, on Boxing Day.
