Chief Technical Director of the HEART Trust National Training Agency, Donald Foster is to become the new executive director of that organisation, taking over from the present head Robert Gregory, who demits office on March 1.
Gregory resigned to take up a position with Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) as its new president, following the resignation of Pat Francis last year.
Sancia Templar is currently the acting head of Jampro.
Foster has been with the organisation for more than 12 years, having started in 1994.
The HEART Trust/NTA is a statutory training organisation which started in 1982, created by the Human Employment and Resource Training Act.
The agency, in its 25 years, has fully cemented itself as Jamaica's premier training and certification agency, with centres spread across the island.
The act established a scheme for financing the agency from payroll contributions of three per cent from employers.
Not featured in the budget, HEART's revenues stood at $3.97 billion for the financial year ending March 31, 2006.
