Representatives of several Caribbean countries will be in Jamaica this weekend for a meeting of the Regional Coordinating Mechanism for Technical and Vocational Education and Training.
The meeting, which has been convened by the CARICOM Secretariat, will be held over two days, February 9-10, at the offices of the National Council on Technical Vocational Education and Training in Gordon Town in St. Andrew.
The CARICOM Secretariat says the main objective of the meeting is to discuss arrangements for the award of the Caribbean Vocational Qualification which was approved by the Council for Human and Social Development in October 2006.
