LETTER OF THE DAY - Engineer tells why St Mary bridge collapsed
The Editor, Sir: I have read with dismay about the suspension bridge (not 'huge swinging bridge') between Broadgate and Mahoe Hill in Saint Mary, where your writer describes the fall of the bridge as a "freak accident".

Surely it's time to leave the Cayman Islands!

The Editor, Sir: I am a Jamaican living in another country. If it gets to the point where I have to be lamenting how I am being treated as a Jamaican, it is time for me to leave.

Restricted on the beach

The Editor, Sir: I have been a long-time visitor to Ocho Rios and have spent many, many Canadian dollars over the past 18 years. I have always been treated with respect and kindness by the wonderful Jamaican people.
