Jamaica Cricket 2007 Limited, the Local Organising Committee (LOC), will roll out its 'Mobile Ticket Unit' today in Montego Bay, Falmouth square and Ocho Rios, to sell ICC WI Cricket World Cup tickets to patrons who are having problems accessing the service.
"In this the final phase of Public Ticketing, we want to ensure that all Jamaicans have easy access to tickets," says Mrs. Roxanne Morris, commercial manager, Jamaica LOC, in a release faxed to the media yesterday.
"During this phase there is no waiting for tickets to be delivered to you, persons are able to pay and get their tickets immediately."
She added: "We are aware that it is very difficult for cricket fans living in the west to travel all the way into Kingston to purchase tickets, so with the support of the ICC CWC Commercial Department we have established a mobile unit that will be travelling the length and breadth of Jamaica to make the tickets more accessible to Jamaicans."
Continuing, Mrs. Morris. pointed out: "On Saturday, February 17 we will be covering three parishes - St. James, Trelawny and St. Ann. We will be in Sam Sharpe Square at 10:00 a.m., Falmouth square at 1:00 p.m. and the Scotiabank car park in Ocho Rios at 4:00 p.m."
The official ICC CWC Ticket Centre is located at Shops 51 & 52 in the Kingston Mall, downtown Kingston, at the corner of Orange Street and Ocean Boulevard, and will remain open Mondays to Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.cricketworldcup.com.
