Dutch willing to probe Trafigura
The Government yesterday indicated it would, at this time, only be willing to 'consider' a possible request to allow Dutch authorities to investigate the controversial $31 million donation to the People's National Party (PNP) from oil trader Trafigura Beheer.

Jamaica Defence Force gets helicopters

Just 48 hours before the official opening of the ICC Cricket World Cup, preparations continued with the commissioning of two helicopters to the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) Air Wing yesterday. The new Bell 407 helicopters, which the JDF Air Wing commissioned into service, will be used to assist the force in its operational tasks for CWC 2007.

Councillor for the Bog Walk division, Dr. Raymoth Notice, is claiming that corruption is rife within the St. Catherine Parish Council where millions of dollars destined for the Social Economic Support Programme fund have been used for personal and political gain.
