Inspiration to be fulfilled and conviction to achieve can come from within, says motiva-tional speaker and life strategist, Lorna Owens.

Ms. Owens, who was guest speaker on Wednesday at The American Chamber of Commerce of Jamaica (AMCham) International Women's Day luncheon, implored women to grasp their faith and miracles.

With the theme, 'Every Day Grace, Every Day Miracle,' Ms. Owens told her listeners, comprsing mostly professional women, that there is a voice inside everyone which should be followed.

Catch the miracle

"Despite your busy schedule, work and family, there is always a miracle every day and you should be able to catch it," said Ms. Owens.

"Oftentimes people say, 'Oh look there is a shooting star'. But a star is always there for us to take," she added.

Jamaican by birth, Ms. Owens who migrated to the United States of America, has undergone many changes herself. The former registered nurse, midwife, entertainment businesswoman and lawyer, now travels the world as a motivational speaker.

Through finding her true path, Ms. Owens at one point was broke, and was forced to sell her Jaguar motor car.

"There has to be a feeling in your belly that everything is going to be all right. Follow that feeling and listen to the voice that says you will continue no matter what," said Miss Owens, who is also an author.

Born in Mandeville, Manchester, she also gave a few pointers on being well.

We must laugh, pray and smile; find time to smell the roses
