Austrian Aram Zerunian, former hotel manager, has been appointed general manager of Half Moon hotel in Montego Bay, reporting to Managing Director Richard Whitfield.

Shernette Crichton has replaced him as hotel manager.

Resident manager

Zerunian, who has lived in Jamaica for 18 years, first joined Half Moon 14 years ago, starting out as resident manager in 1993.

He was named operations manager in 1997, but left a year later to take up a job with Sandals Resorts International, working with Sandals Ocho Rios as resident manager and later general manager of Beaches Royal Plantation Golf Resort & Spa.

Crichton has been with Half Moon since 1990, breaking employment for one year to work with the Tourism Product Development Company, a state agency. She rejoined the hotel in 1999.

Half Moon is a 400-acre property, comprising 398 rooms, sprawled along the Rose Hall coast in Montego Bay. It caters to top end tourists.
