THE EDITOR, Sir: A-bAAY-YAH! A-baay-yah! Night after night the reactionary fringe like the television news stations seemingly scour the most backward countries of the world and show us dismal heartbreaking pictures and stories of sick-unto-death (black)...

THE EDITOR, Sir: I AM sick and tired of people making excuses for bad sexual practices in Jamaica. There are laws about the age of consent to have sexual intercourse, 16 I believe. Therefore, it does not matter if a child of 11,12, 13 or younger approaches an adult...

THE EDITOR, Sir: THE ARTICLE in The Gleaner of March 10, titled 'Offer of free certificates triples birth registra-tion' may, on the surface, seem like good news, but I believe it speaks to a deep problem in our nation that is not getting enough attention, that of abject poverty.
