The occasion will be the staging of the Jamaica Amateur Athletics Association (JAAA) annual Carifta Trials.
All the nation's top athletes will be vying for a place on Jamaica?s team to participate at the 36th Carifta Games scheduled for the Turks and Caicos Islands ? April 7-9.
The meet is scheduled for the Stadium East complex, Saturday ? 11:00 a.m.-5:10 p.m.; and on Sunday ? 11:00 a.m.-4:45 p.m.
Top sprinters Yohan Blake and Schillonie Calvert head the big list of entries. Both may just enter in the 100m as the annual Grace Boys? and Girls? Athletics Championships is a little over a week away.
Bobby-Gaye Wilkins, Natoya Goule, Ramone McKenzie, Dexter Lee, Darion Bent, Keno Heaven, Yushani Durrant, Cawayne Jervis, Natasha Ruddock, Latoya King, Keiron Stewart, Shana-Gaye Tracey, Latoya McDermott, Alecia Cutenar, Carrie Russell, Jair Francis, Kimberly Williams, Danielle Jeffrey, Teneisha Davis, Latoya Nation and Winston Barnes are other top high school athletes who will be on show.
