79-y-o cyclist killed

A 79-year-old pedal cyclist was killed in a collision on the Dunbeholden main road in St. Catherine on Monday evening.

Dead is Clement James of March Pen, Spanish Town.

According to the Constabulary Communication Network, about 7:00 p.m., Mr. James was riding a bicycle along the Dunbeholden main road. On reaching a section of the road, he was involved in a collision with an International truck.

He sustained multiple injuries and was taken to Spanish Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Spanish Town Traffic Department is investigating.
