Tribute to Callam
published: Wednesday | March 21, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

Let me say heartiest congratulations to Reverend Neville Callam who has been nominated to be the General Secretary of the Baptist World Alliance. In addition to the accolades heaped on him by one of your columnists, I want to add that he is an excellent actor as well.

I was 12 years old, when I watched him strut his stuff across a stage at York Castle High School as he represented his house in the Eistedfodd competition. I also remember a prefect who exuded authority, was just and had much integrity. Those were the days.

Neville, continue to live the motto, Nil Sine Magno Labore - Nothing without hard work.

I am, etc.,
