Pope criticises European Union for excluding God
VATICAN CITY (Reuters):Pope Benedict strongly criticised the European Union (EU) yesterday for excluding a mention of God and Europe's Christian roots in declarations marking the 50th anniversary of its founding.

UK clergy leads slave-trade walk

The Archbishops of Canterbury and York led a procession through London yesterday to mark the 200th anniversary of Britain's abolition of the slave trade, according to a BBC report.
