Boys' Town held by Naggo Head
published: Thursday | March 29, 2007

Kwesi Mugisa, Staff Reporter

BOYS' TOWN'S wretched run of form in final round of the Wray and Nephew National Premier League continued when they scrapped their way to a 1-1 draw with battling Naggo Head at the Collie Smith Drive sports ground yesterday.

In-form striker Denzil Watson netted yet again, when he put the home team in the lead with his 65th-minute goal. Watson was the beneficiary of a peach of a pass from midfielder Garfield Gillespie, which picked him sprinting goalwards through a thicket of Naggo Head defenders.

Eight yards away from goal Watson held his nerve to roll the ball wide of Naggo Head custodian Jacomena Barrett.

However, after a positive spell of football from the St. Catherine team they managed to pull level through Kennardo Forbes 82nd-minute volley. An unmarked Forbes gave the virtually relegation-bound team a share of the points when he latched on to an attempt header back across the goal area from a corner.
