Cindy's original brew flows for charity
published: Wednesday | April 4, 2007

The Bustamante Hospital for Children, in St. Andrew, is $25,000 closer to its goal of getting a cat scan for the institution, following Cindy Breakspeare's win at the Forever Young's Celebrity Design-A-Drink Challenge, last Sunday evening.

Breakspeare triumphed over Amelia 'Milk' Sewell and Dr. Aggrey Irons, each of whom mixed an original drink in the hope of grabbing the cash prize for their charity, the Abuna Yesehaq Home for the Aged and the Consie Walters Cancer Care Hospice, respectively.

She offered a nutritious drink, Jamrock Jumbo Malt, "one that when you finish you belly full, you want to lick your fingers, but best of all it is good for you," she said.

Breakspeare said she had a particular interest in charities that work with children and "as busy as I am, whenever someone asks me to do something for charity, I never say no. Helping others means a lot to me."

The charities for the runners-up will receive Ribena and Horlicks from GlaxoSmith Kline.
