The Editor, Sir: Please permit us to use this medium to express our sincerest appreciation and thanks for the LTM Pantomime 2006-07. On Saturday, March 17, we attended the 2:30 p.m. show at the Little Theatre. We were indeed fascinated and rather intrigued by all the things we saw.
Broadcast punishment, not the crime
THE EDITOR, Sir: After watching the news on Chinese television, I turned to the localnews and noticed an interesting difference. Our newscast was a list of heinous crimes, but when the Chinese mentioned crime, it was mostly about punishment.
System failure needs fixing
The Editor, Sir: It is distressing to note that many of our youth are unemployed with not much hope for future employment. Countries are requiring visas for our people who normally venture forth to try to earn a living to help themselves and their families.
