The Editor, Sir:Please permit us to use this medium to express our sincerest appreciation and thanks for the LTM Pantomime 2006-07.
On Saturday, March 17, we attended the 2:30 p.m. show at the Little Theatre. We were indeed fascinated and rather intrigued by all the things we saw. There was much creativity, colours, brilliant costumes, innovation, talent, actors and actresses (real and imagined) and we could go on and on.
We enjoyed all the characters in the cast but we thought our most outstanding characters were 'Khaki Dog' and 'Mr. Rule Book.' We thought that the props were breathtaking, at times we thought (Howzzat?) Oh! We mean, how did they do that? That bed had us thinking for a long time, not to mention those animals in the grass piece, especially the snail!
We picked up very potent messages in the show. We identified the expression of love, generation gap, resilience/power, expectation, envy, gender biases, cowardice/bravery, go getters, resentment of rules and sophistication.
All of these things we can identify with real life situations. It was indeed a wonderful show an we had immense fun we also used it as a learning experience. Some of us hope to become actors and actresses some day.
