Easter, the Spring holiday, is here again. Many families reflect on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ by going to church as well as indulging in bun and cheese and fish dishes.

With the celebrations come many events, of course, a few are family oriented. Here are some activities you may want to attend with your family.

  • Horticultural Show

Black River, St. Elizabeth, comes alive on Easter Monday with colourful array of horticultural items.

Other forms of attraction will include Easter Bonnet parade, fashion show, bounce-a-bout, bammy making, Titanic super slide

It all begins at 9:30 a.m. at Independence Park, Black River. Admission at the gate: $200 for adults and $50 for children.

  • Mountain Dew Stunt Festival

The fourth annual staging of the bike festival happens this Monday at 10:00 a.m.

The festival will feature stunt bikers from the United States of America's Pro-Impact Stunt team.

The event takes place at Jamalco Sports Club, Hayes, Clarendon. There will be free rides all day.

  • St Ann kite festival and Family Fun Day

This Easter Monday, as well, children will be excited by the colours and speed of kites.

The kite festival takes place at Seville Heritage Park in St. Ann, starting at 10:00 a.m.

Admission at the gate: $600 for adults and $200 for children.

In addition to kite-flying attraction, there will be performances from the Tivoli Marching Band. Other activities will include bounce-a-bout, slides, donkey and horseback riding, face painting and train rides.
