Accused husband killer denied bail
published: Saturday | April 7, 2007

CMC:

A woman accused of plotting to murder her husband will return to court here in Jamaica on April 17 after she was denied bail on Thursday.

Police last week charged Lisa Anderson Nelson, 31, with illegal possession of a firearm, conspiracy to murder, and murder.

Plotted with two men

Law enforcement authorities say she plotted with two men, Phillip Allen, 29 and Derrick Weeton, 29, to murder her husband, Marlon Anthony Nelson, whose body was found at the Old Buccaneer Beach, 10 months ago.

Police believe that her husband, who was a security guard employed to Cayman Airways in the Cayman Islands, was killed a few minutes after his arrival on the island.

The authorities said that, on July 25 last year, Marlon Nelson came home to visit his wife and was picked up at the Norman Manley International Airport by his wife and two men and was taken to the nearby Old Buccaneer Beach where he was shot and killed.

All three accused will re-appear in court on April 17.
